Machu Picchu

Nearly there, its almost daylight and we're heading for that little valley in the mounatins!

I made it!!!!!!

Just to prove it was really me, and that I was still asleep.

This is what I came for...

At the city

We all made it! - Well almost, the 2 girls in the earlier photos, one was sick all night, and headed up later.

The smallest stone in Machu Picchu! It's in the middle there.

The temple

Remember the 12 corner rock in Cusco? Wel this one has 35 Corners carved into it (they must have had a lot of patience!)

This stone is supposed to have been carved to match the mountains beyond.

The Sundial - its corners point east and west and on the summer and winter solstice the shadows match perfectly with the edges of the rock.

Some Llamas

This is supposed to be an altar representing the condor, there are some rocks behind which represent its wings!

Me and Lili - the girl I shared a tent with. I am really tired - thats why my eyes are all over the place!

I got bitten 30 times on my legs and once on each arm!!!!
